3. Robert K. Greenleaf began his career at AT&T where he worked for 40 years. After his retirement as director of management research in 1964, he began a second career as an author, teacher, and consultant to business organizations that lasted another 25 years. He founded The Greenleaf Center for Servant-Leadership. He published numerous books and essays on the theme of Servant- Leadership. After his dead in 1990, his work now continues through The Greenleaf Center for Servant-Leadership, a not-for-profit institution located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
